Free HIV Testing is a program of HAF, a community based health organization fully dedicated to improving health outcomes of New Yorkers. In sponsoring Free HIV Testing for all New Yorkers we pledge to provide concrete support to those who are living with HIV while stemming the spread of HIV. What Does Free HIV Testing Do?

• We offer you confidential HIV testing, totally free of charge, in more than two dozen fixed locations in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens Borough.
• We deploy three mobile units staffed with bi-lingual personnel to provide HIV testing during health fairs, block parties, street outreach and other summer festivities.
• We bring “get tested for HIV” messages to multiple audiences, neighborhoods and non-traditional settings to make HIV testing as accessible to as many New Yorkers as possible.
• We send health educators and materials, including condom packs for men and women, to events and activities citywide to spread the word on the benefits of getting tested for HIV.
• By invitation, we will conduct HIV testing events with partnering organizations, including civic groups, social clubs and churches,

Our Goals

• The goals of the Free HIV Testing are:
• Increase the number of people who get tested for HIV and learn their status;
• Increase prompt access to medical care for New Yorkers living HIV;
• Increase the number of sexually active New Yorkers who adopt condom use to avoid HIV infection and other sexually transmitted infections;
• Increase condom use and access to free condoms;
• Promote local, community-level discussions about HIV-related stigma and risk behaviors; and
• Increase the number of new partnerships and collaborations addressing HIV/AIDS while maintaining existing relationships.
